The G12M Greenback is arguably one of Celestion’s most iconic ceramic magnet vintage guitar speakers. Developed in the mid-1960s, it was quickly adopted by guitarists such as Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, and Page, who helped popularize the more powerful and aggressive blues-rock styles characteristic of that era.
The G12M-65 Creamback produces the famous warm, woody G12M tone, while offering a higher power handling capability. It is therefore perfectly suited for modern amplifiers when seeking a vintage sound.
Its increased power handling also provides more depth and punch in the lows, which complement warm, singing mids, gritty upper-mids, and sweet, refined highs.
