DESCRIPTION
The Copper is that quintessential British crystalline, bluesy sound, packed into our V4 power amp pedal! Four preamp valves, a 180-watt power section, two channels, reverb, and Two Notes technology. Only 1.7 kg—all the sonic richness of the Copper in a compact format!
The V4 Copper amp delivers an all-valve clean and overdriven sound. The footswitchable treble boost increases gain and creates a smooth valve saturation with exceptional sustain. It is the ideal amp for that classic, bright British sound!
All-valve preamp sound
The V4 Copper features an all-valve preamp section consisting of one EC900 and three CV4014s operating at high plate voltage, paired with a solid-state power section.
Treble boost
Designed as a gain boost, this treble boost circuit allows you to push the V4's preamp section to create smooth valve saturation with exceptional sustain. The non-boosted channel offers a clean to slightly overdriven sound. Each channel has its own volume control.
Reverb
A rich and warm digital reverb provides expansive ambiance. Turn it down for a subtle sense of space, or crank it up for an enveloping and immersive reverb! The reverb is footswitchable via a TRS cable (sold separately).
Two Notes Technology
The DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology integrated into the Copper, developed by Two Notes Audio Engineering and designed for Torpedo, is built into the Copper. The XLR Cab Sim output allows you to easily take your Victory virtual cabinets everywhere with you. Presets were created by Chris Buck for the Copper.
Series effects loop
Located between the preamp and the power amp, this loop allows you to apply your time-based effects for optimal clarity.
Balanced line and headphone outputs
Send a direct signal to an external cabinet simulator, the front-of-house console, or any other peripheral. Usable with or without a connected cabinet. The built-in headphone output makes silent practice quick and easy.
9V DC power output
Want to power extra pedals and add this amp to your pedalboard? We have included a center-negative 9V DC output that delivers a maximum current of 500 mA. This is more than enough for the vast majority of overdrive, fuzz, analog delay pedals, etc.
VRC – Valve Response Circuit
This small component of the circuit aims to replicate the resonance (or "thump"—there are other adjectives!) of a tube amp's power section. Thanks to the VRC™ circuit, you get closer to the feel of an all-tube power stage, all in an ultra-compact format that fits in your backpack and delivers up to 180 watts of power!
3-Band EQ
Powerful bass, middle, and treble controls to sculpt your sound. They also influence gain and saturation levels, just like on any tube guitar amp.
TWO NOTES TECHNOLOGY
We collaborated with the incredibly talented team at Two notes Audio Engineering to integrate their cutting-edge technology into our V4 Copper guitar amp.
From the first use, you have access to six presets created by Victory artist Chris Buck. These presets were specifically designed by Chris for the V4 Copper guitar amp. The amp includes ten Victory virtual cabinets along with a selection of microphones and positions to create your own presets. Access all of this by connecting the V4 Copper guitar amp to your computer via Torpedo Remote (available as a free download on the Two notes website). It is also through this software that you access power amp modes, rooms, studio-grade EQ, and the audio enhancer. Register your device with Two notes to access two additional Two notes DynIR cabinets.
THE V4 AMP VALVE STORY!
The V4 amps are equipped with interesting valves, including three CV4014s and one EC900. The CV4014s were manufactured in 1981 at the Mullard factory in England, then stored in a climate-controlled atmosphere, deep underground—the depot was part of a Cold War nuclear bunker! They remained there until we decided to use them to design certain products.
The EC900s were manufactured by E.I. (Elektronska Industrija) in the former Yugoslavia under license from Philips and Mullard. Their build quality was exceptional, so much so that we offer a 2-year warranty on the tubes in V4 amplifiers.
