DESCRIPTION
The Sheriff V4 amp offers classic rock tones in a compact and portable pedal format. Four preamp valves, a 180-watt power section, two channels, reverb, and Two Notes technology. Only 1.7 kg – all the Sheriff sound in a reduced format!
With its two channels, the Sheriff V4 amp lets you transition from 60s blues to the most saturated hair metal tones. The Gain 1 channel, with lower gain, is ideal for edge-of-breakup tones through to classic rock. The Gain 2 channel offers high-gain tones typical of modified Plexi amps.
Two channels of classic British overdrive!
The Sheriff V4 has two channels: the Vintage channel, inspired by 60s blues rock, and the Hot-Rodded channel, which delivers a high gain typical of the 80s hair metal era.
3-band EQ
Powerful bass, middle, and treble controls to sculpt your sound. These controls also affect gain and saturation levels, just like on any valve guitar amp.
Reverb
A rich and warm digital reverb provides a wide and enveloping ambiance. Turn it down for a subtle sense of space, or crank it up for a vast and immersive sound! The reverb is footswitchable via a TRS cable (sold separately).
Two Notes Technology
DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology from Two Notes Audio Engineering is integrated into the Sheriff. The XLR Cab Sim connector allows you to easily take your Victory virtual cabinets everywhere with you. The presets were created by Graham Coxon for the Sheriff.
Series effects loop
Located between the preamp and the power amp, this loop allows you to apply your time-based effects for optimal clarity.
Balanced line and headphone outputs
Send a direct signal to an external cabinet simulator, the front-of-house console, or any other device. Can be used with or without a connected cabinet. The built-in headphone output makes silent practice quick and easy.
9 V DC power output
Want to power additional pedals and add this amp to your pedalboard? We have included a 9 V DC centre-negative output that delivers a maximum current of 500 mA. That is more than enough for the vast majority of overdrive, fuzz, analog delay pedals, etc.
VRC – Valve Response Circuit
This small component of the circuit is designed to replicate the resonance (or "thump") of a power amp stage in a valve amplifier. Thanks to the V.R.C™ circuit, you get closer to the feel of a valve power stage, all in an ultra-compact format that you can slip into your backpack and which offers up to 180 watts of power!
TWO NOTES TECHNOLOGY
We have collaborated with the talented engineers at Two Notes Audio Engineering to integrate their cutting-edge technology into our V4 Sheriff guitar amp.
Right out of the box, you have access to six presets created by Victory artist Graham Coxon. These presets were specially designed by Graham for the V4 Sheriff guitar amp. Ten Victory virtual cabinets are included with the amp, as well as a selection of microphones and positions to create your own presets. Access all of this by connecting the V4 Sheriff guitar amp to your computer via Torpedo Remote (available as a free download on the Two notes website). This is also where you access the power amp modes, rooms, studio-grade EQ, and audio enhancer. Register your device with Two notes to access two additional Two notes DynIR cabinets.
THE STORY OF THE V4 AMP VALVES!
The V4 amps are equipped with interesting valves, including three CV4014s and one EC900. The CV4014s were manufactured in 1981 at the Mullard factory in England, then stored in a climate-controlled atmosphere, deep underground – the depot was part of a Cold War nuclear bunker! They remained there until we decided to use them to design certain products.
The EC900s were manufactured by E.I. (Elektronska Industrija) in the former Yugoslavia under Philips and Mullard license. Their manufacturing quality was exceptional, so much so that we offer a 2-year warranty on the valves of the V4 amplifiers.
