With its 100 watts and 4 6L6 power tubes, the MK Clean offers a distinctive and rich sound, ideal for blues and country guitarists. Despite its significant headroom, it provides precise sound reproduction and has been meticulously designed from the ground up for pedals.
The MK Clean is Victory's quintessential Clean amplifier. This amplifier represents the culmination of over 30 years of Martin Kidd's experience. Martin designed his first guitar amp in the early 1990s and has since become one of the most influential and important British amp designers of the last three decades.
The MK Clean is handmade in England, and no investment has been spared regarding components, manufacturing time, and the many other constraints inherent to amp design. Each amp leaves the factory after inspection and signature by Martin Kidd, attesting to its compliance with his high standards.
SINGLE-CHANNEL DESIGN
The single-channel design of the MK Clean is built for playing, combining simplicity with remarkable musicality. Designed for clean headroom, it is perfectly suited for blues and country, while allowing effects pedal users to adapt as needed.
VOICE SWITCH
Located on the front panel, a two-position voice switch is available. Voice 1 produces 50s-style sounds, while Voice 2 introduces more upper mids, offering a slightly more 60s British sound.
SHIMMERING REVERB
Recognized as the industry standard, the Accutronics Reverb Tank is a full-length 3-spring unit with a medium decay. The tank is housed in a custom padded cover adorned with the Victory logo. The unit is then secured in the cover using two quick-release Velcro straps.
This gives the MK Clean a rich reverb. The front panel is equipped with a reverb send control to adjust the signal entering the reverb circuit and control distortion levels, particularly at high gain.
BRIGHT SWITCH & BASS SHIFT
The BRIGHT control is a simple switch to add treble and shape the amp's sound to your liking.
The Bass Shift is a simple switch that reduces low frequencies entering the tone stack for increased control in particularly bassy rooms or with different pickups.
CUSTOM SINGLE-BUTTON FOOTSWITCH
The MK Clean comes with a custom single-button footswitch to control the reverb. It is housed in a custom-built, punched, welded, painted, and UV-printed pedal that is unique to the MK series and maintains the professional aesthetic of the family.
BOX CONTENTS
Each MK Clean comes with a padded cover to protect the Muirhead leather coverings. Additionally, for any order of an MK head and cabinet, you will receive a custom engraved plexiglass cover to protect your cabinet when placing the head on it. Finally, each amp comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Martin Kidd.
The MK series amps are available to order in many custom finishes, including a choice of panel color, handle, corners, and a wide selection of genuine leather coverings. The leather is supplied exclusively by Muirhead Scottish Leather, leather supplier to the House of Lords, Rolls Royce, the Orient Express, Aston Martin, and now, Victory Amplification.
