The Duchess you know and love, even more versatile.
When developing the Duchess MKII, we made sure not to stray too far from what made the original range so successful. In terms of sound, the Duchess remains the reference amplifier for clean tones up to the highest treble, and the ideal pedalboard platform. Furthermore, we drew inspiration from some of our most recent products: we added new tonal switching functions from the MK Clean series and updated the reverb circuits to incorporate the same Accutronics Spring Tank as the MK Clean.
Voice selector
Increased tonal flexibility is now offered thanks to a new 3-position voice selector, allowing you to adapt to all types of pickups and playing styles. Each successive selection increases the richness of the low-mid frequencies through the treble adjustment.
Mid Kick
This popular feature from the original Duchess range has been extended to include three levels of dynamic mid-range correction:
Position I: Standard response
Position II: Low-mid boost
Position III: Additional gain in the high-mids
Valve spring reverb
We have integrated a three-spring, medium-decay, valve-driven Accutronics tank, identical to the one in our flagship MK Clean model. This system can also be switched on/off via the included footswitch.
Valve tremolo
An authentic valve tremolo rounds it all off. Featuring speed and depth controls, it is ideal for classic sounds.
Low power mode
The front-panel power switch offers a low power mode of approximately 30 watts. It is ideal for home and studio use, and even for quiet stages with headphones. Or… just crank the amp to the max and enjoy extra power at low volume and incredible compression. Series effects loop
The hard-bypassable effects loop allows you to use delays, reverbs, etc., after the amp's preamp section to maintain a clean sound, especially if you are using drive. The V140 is a fantastic pedal platform, whether directly in front or via the loop.
