INTERCHANGEABLE PREAMP
Power up a Synergy Morgan AC preamp and enjoy the exceptional flexibility that makes Morgan AC amps a favorite among musicians. In fact, the AC module was designed by Joe Morgan himself to replicate every detail and sound of his own amplifiers. You will find two channels with similar tones that, unlike amplifiers, allow you to quickly switch from one AC sound to another on the fly. Two 12AX7 preamp tubes offer a British character and clean breakup. Each channel is equipped with a bright switch to adapt the preamp to each of your guitars. If only the AC sound will do, plug in your Synergy Morgan AC preamp. The Synergy AC preamp features two channels, each with gain and volume knobs, as well as a bright switch. Both channels share a three-band EQ.
CATHODE SELECTOR:
The Morgan AC module features a three-position switch to configure the low-frequency response of the input tubes to match the original circuit of the selected module (patent pending). This influences the feel and tightness. Every amp designer uses a specific combination of components for their input tube circuit. We have selected the three most common combinations, accessible via this switch. This module is preset to Joe Morgan’s choice, which is position 1 for the AC module (1.5kΩ resistor and 22µf capacitor).
