The JC-40 Jazz Chorus delivers the famous Roland “JC Clean” sound, as well as its typical stereo chorus effect, and comes in the form of a compact combo box equipped with advanced features for current music guitarists. Derived from our flagship JC-120 amp, the JC-40 produces a classic stereo clean sound, which provides an ideal basis for processing by effects pedals. Now it offers true stereo input to work optimally with stereo effects pedals, synth guitars, amp modeling and multi-effects. As for the effects integrated into the JC-40, they now offer new features as well as renewed sounds, to meet the needs of today's musicians.

For 40 years, musicians around the world have paid homage to the signature clear, massively stereo sound of the Jazz Chorus JC-120 amp. With the JC-40, you can now enjoy this sound standard in a smaller amp featuring the latest technological innovations. Two independent power amps and specially designed 10-inch (25.4 cm) speakers deliver punchy stereo sound that always stands out in a group. As for the solid design of the box, adapted to touring conditions, it ensures years of good operation in concert and in the studio.
The famous stereo chorus and other effects
Beyond its famous stratospheric clear sound, the JC-40 has integrated effects, completely renewed to enrich your performances. Thanks to immersive 3D sound, the stereo Dimensional Space Chorus is able to give a new dimension to your music, and now offers Fixed or Manual modes to multiply the tonal possibilities. Revised and corrected vibrato and reverb effects are available, and both work in stereo for even more tonal richness. Distortion is also included, even more flexible, to adapt to all styles of music.
A stereo input for multi-effects, modeling, synths
With its front-panel stereo input, the JC-40 allows musicians to use stereo effects sources to achieve ultra-wide sounds without needing to carry two separate amps. The amp's rich, clean sound lets you get the best out of external effects pedals such as delays, reverbs, and other modulation effects. It is also perfect for advanced devices that use amp modeling, sound synthesis and/or multi-effects: GT-100, GP-10, BOSS ME-80, Roland GR-55 synth guitar. ..

Get connected
The rear panel of the JC-40 is packed with connectivity options. An effects loop allows you to patch mono or stereo effects, and you can choose to operate in series or parallel. The Line Out lets you send a mono or stereo signal to a mixer or recorder, while the headphone output is perfect for playing quietly, late at night or on the road. Connecting external pedals is also possible, to automatically turn the JC-40's chorus/vibrato, reverb and distortion effects on or off, while continuing to play.
