Though labeled Rhythm and Lead, the Imperial MKII's two footswitchable channels could just as easily be named Blackface and Tweed. The Rhythm channel, with its generous headroom, offers the clarity and presence of the most popular mid-60s amps. The Lead channel, meanwhile, delivers the thick, mid-range-focused sustain characteristic of the most prized 50s-era models. Both channels feature an easy-to-use 3-band EQ, ensuring a great sound regardless of the settings.
