Superior sonic properties

• Each snare drum is born from a Canadian sugar maple, renowned worldwide for its sonic and structural qualities.

• We also use white ash and yellow birch for their own unique characteristics, both sonic and visual.

  Shell hollowed from the tree

  Vertical wood grain = better sound projection

  • The snare drum is built from a single piece of wood hollowed out from the tree, so that there is:

  • No glue

  • No plies

  • No joints

  • All these aspects eliminate shell distortions since the piece of wood remains in its original pure form.

    Continuity in the shell, same original shape = no sound distortion

    • Since the wood grain is vertical, the distribution of sound inside the shell is greatly facilitated, as it travels freely between the two heads without restriction.
