Designed to solve on-stage communication problems for artists using in-ear monitor systems, the HotShot DM-1 is a simple passive footswitch that allows performers to quickly reroute their signal without disrupting their performance. Its use is simple: connect any dynamic mic to the input and send the main XLR output to the mixing console, then connect a cable from the DM-1's second output to a common intercom bus. As soon as you press the footswitch, the signal from the main output is muted and redirected to the monitor system. The musician can thus chat discreetly with other band members or discuss a technical issue with the crew. As soon as you release the footswitch, the system automatically returns to normal operation, allowing the show to continue as usual.
