REACTIVE ATTENUATION COUPLED TO A TRANSFORMER.
A critical part of an amp's sound is how it interacts with the speaker. These impedance fluctuations are essential to the sounds we love. This is also the reason why many attenuators on the market fail to produce the same sound at lower levels. The Ironman II's proprietary reactive loading and transformer coupling technology, however, treats the amplifier in the same way as a loudspeaker. Now you can bring out all the frequencies and nuances of your sound at any volume.
RESPONSIVE MITIGATION IRONMAN II.
The Ironman II reactive power attenuator gives Tone King amplifiers increased flexibility for any gig, session or rehearsal. Simply turn up your amp to the sweet spot, then control the volume to get thick, rich sound at usable levels. And with its reactive charging technology and HF compensation, you'll always keep the sound and feel of your crank amp.
PRESENCE SWITCH.
The presence switch provides subtle control over brightness and compression. It allows you to adapt the response to your acoustic environment and correct an amplifier that is too bright. Three settings are provided: 0 dB (brightest setting), -3 dB and -6 dB (darkest setting).
XLR AND ¼” LINE LEVEL DI OUTPUTS.
The Ironman II's Line-Out and DI outputs provide a line-level signal that can be used to drive another amplifier, mixer, recording interface, or other line-level input. To sweeten the pot, the DI output features analog speaker simulation (with switches to choose between center mic or edge mic and ground-lift) that compares head-on with some of the most advanced computer IRs market complexities.
IMPEDANCE MATCHING.
Another unique feature of the Ironman II is its dual impedance controls: one for the amplifier input and one for the speaker output. These controls allow you to match your speaker to your amplifier, regardless of the amp's output impedance.
USE AS A DUMMY CHARGE.
Want to record or practice silently? No problem. The Ironman II can easily be used as a dummy load without speakers connected. This is ideal for using the emulated output in the cabin, your favorite IRs, plugging in headphones for powerful amp ambiance that won't wake the neighbors.
