We are proud to introduce the limited edition 150th Anniversary AQ2 Shell Set — a special drum kit for all SONOR fans who appreciate the brand's signature sound and proven quality.
This kit is based on our popular AQ2 series, but with its anniversary design, it adds that little something extra that makes all the difference. A true collector's item for any SONOR fan — regardless of your drumming level.
Like the standard AQ2s, these shells are made of 100% maple, combining North American and Chinese maple. An ebony-look outer veneer is used for the shells as well as the bass drum hoops. As on all high-end SONOR drum kits, the veneer is applied vertically. The entire set is finished with a high-gloss clear lacquer.
In terms of hardware, this kit uses the proven elements of SONOR's AQ series, including the AQ cast lugs with TuneSafe system, the SMART Mount suspension system for the toms, and the DTH 4000 double tom holder. All the kit's badges feature an embossed SONOR anniversary logo, which is also found on the bass drum resonant head.
