A traditional single-coil bass rig with an alder neck and maple/walnut body for sustained, balanced sound. The Kestrel SE is instantly at home with an ultra-piercing, clear and fat tone.
The Kestrel SE takes a traditional single-coil pickup bass rig and adds PRS fit, finish and attention to detail, giving a new dimension to a classic instrument. No matter the style or decade, the Kestrel can perform all the bass parts you loved growing up.
Kestrel (4B S) pickups are extremely punchy and focused, giving the player the ability to walk a focused low-mid blues line, articulate a focused high-mid fretless style part rich in harmonics, nail the high - midrange and smooth, high-end sound, and wield a breathtaking rock bassline. This bass has a roar to burn!
Designed in the PRS Maryland workshop, the Kestrel's alder body and modern neck construction offer a sustained and balanced sound. The maple and walnut neck has been meticulously crafted, and the 34" scale length makes this an instantly comfortable bass for players old and new. A modern bridge lets you choose between strings through the bridge or body to get even more tonal possibilities.
