Connecting, Looping and Mixing
With its versatile I/O and smooth interface, the RC-500 is ready to support all your musical visions. Connect mono/stereo instruments and pedal effects, as well as a mic to the dedicated XLR input - with phantom power if necessary. Use both tracks independently for songwriting, or together for rich multi-track textures. The LCD backlight changes color to clearly indicate the current operating mode, while the track faders and mic level knob provide direct access to the volume control while you loop.
Flexible creative control
Three built-in footswitches provide easy control of recording and playback, changing tracks, etc. For expanded operation, you can connect up to two external pedals for direct control of many assignable functions, or an expression pedal for continuous adjustments. And for advanced devices, space-saving TRS MIDI I/O provides remote control of MIDI footswitches and footswitches, as well as MIDI sync with drum machines and DAW software.
Customize your installation
The RC-500's I/O and footswitches are configured by default for basic operations, but they can be reassigned in a variety of ways to meet your particular needs. Direct left/right input sources to separate tracks, or send guitar and vocals to independent outputs. Use the footswitches to turn effects on/off, start/stop beats, etc. Custom assignments are saved with phrase memories, allowing you to instantly reconfigure the RC-500 for any application.

Each of the 57 preset rhythms includes A/B variations, while 16 different drums provide sounds to suit any style. Capture, train and play
The RC-500's 99 phrase memories let you store loops as quickly as you create them, with rhythm and kit selections, audio settings and control assignments. Audio loops can be saved to a computer via USB. And with WAV import via BOSS Tone Studio, the RC-500 becomes a central playback hub for lessons, jam tracks, or background music for your next gig.
