The Killer Kali is a two-channel preamp designed to work exclusively with Synergy Amp systems. Each channel is completely independent and features its own tone stack and multiple shaping functions.
GAIN 1 AND GAIN 2
Cascading gain stages. Gain 1 controls the first gain stage, while Gain 2 controls the second.
BRIGHT SWITCHES
3-position bright switch for each gain setting. In the up position, the sound is brightest and most aggressive. The bright switches are directly connected to the gain setting: the higher the gain, the less the bright setting influences the sound (similar to the bright setting of a standard Plexi amp). In the middle position, the setting is full-bandwidth and therefore unaffected by the gain setting. In the down position, the brightness setting is similar to the classic bright setting of an 800 2203.
VIOLENCE SWITCH
In the down position, it uses the three gain stages; in the up position, it adds an additional tube gain stage. SAT (SATURATION) SWITCH
Down, no change. Up, adds a clipping circuit that increases compression and gain.
EQ SHAPE
A three-position switch that changes the EQ points. Up provides a typical M-style tone, middle is more F-style (more scooped), and finally down is in between the two, boosting highs and mids.
