Offering a range of +/- seven semitones and +/- three octaves, the XS-1 can adapt to any musical need. Thanks to famous BOSS controls, setting up sounds is quick and intuitive. In principle, for semitone tuning, you will prefer to hear only the effect, using the BALANCE knob, to avoid note conflict. For octave shifts, use it to blend with the direct sound to produce a 12-string guitar sound, mix bass and guitar tones, or find unique new colors. The DETUNE mode allows you to create evocative doubling effects with high-definition sound.
High-end creative controls
The XS-1 offers a set of control options that will satisfy all your creative desires. A simple flip of a front-panel switch sets the integrated footswitch to latching or momentary mode. By connecting up to two external footswitches, you get quick access to alternative tuning modes with your preferred balance settings.
