Brian Wampler is often considered the expert on amp-in-a-box overdrive and distortion pedals. His original Pinnacle overdrive is one of his most popular creations here at Sweetwater for how it effortlessly replicates the famous “Brown Sound” of a cranked British amp. A Wide Variety of Voicing Options
The juicy sounds of a classic British amplifier are the starting point for the Pinnacle Deluxe V2 overdrive pedal. This V2 version distinguishes itself from previous designs with a powerful 3-band EQ. These controls have a huge impact on the sonic personality and feel of this pedal. And the built-in Modern/Vintage toggle switch further pinpoints the pedal's character. Independent Boost Function
Hit the Boost footswitch and imbue the Pinnacle Deluxe V2’s saturated sound with screamer-style gain and tightness. Then dial in the Boost knob to find the perfect amount of cut and sustain. Need even more gain? Flipping the Boost/Gain toggle switch slightly restructures the Pinnacle Deluxe V2’s gain staging to help you cut through the mix. Best of all, the Boost function is totally independent of the pedal’s main circuit. It’s like putting a separate “lime green” boost pedal in front of your overdrive!
Low-Profile Sag Switch
The very nature of the Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe V2 overdrive pedal is part of a red-lined amp stack that gives you everything it has. Just like the real thing, the Pinnacle Deluxe V2’s low end will compress gloriously as you push it hard. While that’s a great sound, some players asked Wampler to add an option to tighten up that low-end response for more modern sounds. Wampler agreed and added the low-profile Sag switch on the side of the unit. Whatever British amp response or sound you are looking for, you will find it in the Pinnacle Deluxe V2.
