Superior sonic properties
Each snare drum is crafted from Canadian hard maple, recognized worldwide for its tonal and structural qualities. White ash and cherry are also used for their unique sonic and visual characteristics.
Shell carved from a single piece of wood
Vertical grain = better sound projection
The shell is hollowed out directly from a single piece of wood, which means:
- No glue
- No plies
- No joints
This eliminates distortion and keeps the wood in its pure, original form.
Solid shell
Grain continuity = no sound distortion
Thanks to the vertical grain, sound travels freely between the two heads, allowing for optimal resonance and unrestricted projection.
Custom hardware for our products
Unique, durable, and optimized
The hardware is specially designed to allow the solid wood shell to move freely without adding tension. A system with a rubber ring fits into a robust floating stainless steel lug, which follows the shell's natural movements.
Minimal number of lugs at the shell's center point
Minimal sound alteration
Only 10 screws are used, compared to about 44 on most shells on the market. This reduces weight and sound distortion, especially since they are placed at the "dead point" of the shell.
Snare strainer fixed to the bottom hoop
Faster and easier head changes
The strainer is mounted on the bottom hoop, which makes changing the resonant head faster and easier, while further reducing the number of screws in the shell.
Lathe-machined bearing edges
Maximum precision for a balanced tone
The bearing edges are machined directly on a wood lathe during the interior and exterior finishing of the shell, ensuring optimal precision. The 45° bearing edge offers great sonic versatility.
Branded logo
Less interference with the shell
The logo is burned directly into the wood rather than attached with plates or rivets, so as not to hinder the shell's natural vibrations.
