Device description
The Radial Engineering Reamp JCR is a passive reamplifier that allows you to take a pre-recorded track and send it back to a guitar or bass amplifier for re-recording. The benefits are enormous: instead of worrying about how the track sounds, you can focus your attention on achieving the best musical performance. Once the performance is recorded, you can re-amp the track, even without the guitarist present, by moving mics around the room, trying different amplifiers, or introducing effects. Additionally, you can also re-amp the track later as production progresses.

This reamplifier features the original reamplification circuit designed by John Cuniberti. This is a 100% passive design with John's original transformer and circuit, made in the USA. It also features separate XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors, variable output level, and a 3-position crossover that lets you tame excessive treble, warm up the bass, or simply bypass if you want to return to the original circuit A built-in mute function has also been added to allow you to mute the signal sent to the amps while you are making adjustments or moving mics around the studio.
Strong points

Allows you to re-record tracks through a guitar or bass amp
Original reamplification circuit designed by John Cuniberti
Easy-to-use passive plug-and-play design
Improves productivity while expanding creative options

Connections

XLR input
Balanced input
Connects from your recording system output to the Reamp JCR.
TRS 1/4 input
Connects from your recording workstation and is suitable for lo-Z and hi-Z sources.
Wired in parallel with the XLR input
Output 1/4
Unbalanced instrument level output
Allows you to connect the Reamp JCR to amps and effects.
Transformer isolation to eliminate hum and hum caused by ground loops.
Control buttons

Mute
Mutes the Reamp JCR's 1/4" output to the guitar or bass amplifier.
Level
Allows you to control the signal going from the Reamp JCR to the guitar or bass amplifier.
Adjusts the output level of the reamplification to your amp.
Filtered
Three-position switch used to select the preset EQ filter
Low pass (high cut) adjustment to warm up overly bright amps
High pass (low cut) adjustment to clean up low frequencies.
Flat tuning to bypass filters and return to the original amplifier circuit.
Ground Lift
Disconnects ground from balanced inputs to eliminate hum and hum caused by ground loops.
180 phase reversal
Inverts the electrical polarity of the output to compensate for amps or effects that invert the signal.
Construction and design

Construction and design

Steel construction
Heavy-duty 14-gauge steel construction for increased durability and added shielding against EMF fields.
Mil-Spec PCB
Double-sided circuit board and full ground plane to ensure low noise and high durability for flawless performance.
End of book design
Creates a protective zone around connectors, switches and potentiometers for added protection.
Push switches
Featuring a durable metal exterior housing
Resistance to more than 20,000 cycles
Transformer
Isolates and converts impedance to properly power guitar amplifier
Custom made in the USA
Anti-slip pads
The neoprene bottom surface provides electrical insulation and mechanical insulation.
Prevents the JCR Reamp from moving when placed on the guitar amp.
Baked enamel finish
Allows your JCR Reamp to maintain an impeccable appearance for years.
