Featuring close-aperture coils and loaded with Alnico V magnets, the P85 is a powerful guitar pickup that offers exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets in this model produce a powerful, biting sound and smooth leads, allowing you to play every style from blues to the most extreme metal.
While often used in the neck position, don't be fooled: the EMG P85 also sounds great in the bridge position thanks to its exceptional smoothness and character. If you're looking for a fuller sound than your current P90, this pickup is for you. Furthermore, our solderless system makes it easy to change your tone.
