Widely considered the most recognizable electric guitar of all time, Eddie Van Halen's iconic and revered Frankenstein™ guitar now comes at a price the everyday musician can afford in the form of the EVH® Series Striped Frankenstein™ "Frankie".
Sporting Eddie's famous red with a white and black striped paint job and a worn relic look, the all-new Frankie features a basswood Stratocaster®-style body paired with a quarter-sawn maple neck reinforced with graphite. An oil finish on the back of the neck allows for hours of playing comfort, while the 12" to 16" compound radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets was designed for fast and furious playing styles.
Routed for an HSS pickup configuration just like Eddie's original, Frankie features an EVH Wolfgang® humbucking bridge pickup with a Strat® dummy neck pickup and a five-way dummy blade housed in the middle position.
A sturdy and reliable EVH brand Floyd Rose® locking vibrator and Floyd Rose locking nut work in tandem for precise adjustment even with extreme changes in height, while the EVH D-Tuna® readjusts at the drop-D and back with strict precision on the first shot. with one finger.
Other unique features include a single white-skirted Strat-style volume control knob (labeled "tone"), custom black pickguard, refinished chrome hardware, standard strap buttons, and EVH neck plate.
