Hendrix’s deeply personal sound and playing style relied on his habit of flipping his guitars over and re-stringing them to accommodate his left-handed play, resulting in a reverse headstock and bridge pickup—features recreated here with exacting accuracy. The reverse headstock increases the length of the bass strings, providing a tighter playing feel along with easier bending and vibrato on the high strings. A trio of outstanding American Vintage '65 single-coil pickups, including a reverse-slant bridge pickup, produces a unique and inspiring tone that is precise, warm, and rich in upper harmonics and definition. The "C"-shaped maple neck with a 9.5"-radius fingerboard and medium jumbo frets offers a flatter playing surface, ideal for chording while still allowing for stratospheric bends during blazing solos.
Celebrating his unmatched legacy, the large '70s-style headstock bears the guitarist’s signature on the rear. A unique neck plate features a silhouette of the artist and the engraved "Authentic Hendrix" inscription, providing insight into the inspiration behind this guitar.
