The Les Paul Studio Session does not lack in electronics either. It is equipped with a '57 Classic™ pickup in the neck position and a '57 Classic + in the bridge position, wired to a three-way pickup selector. This selector allows you to use each pickup individually or simultaneously. Each pickup has its own volume control, allowing you to blend the sound as you wish. Each volume control is equipped with a push/pull switch for coil splitting. You get two different sounds from each pickup, and each has its own individual tone control for even more sonic possibilities. These controls are also equipped with push/pull potentiometers for phase inversion when both pickups are used simultaneously, as well as a Pure Bypass system that connects the bridge pickup directly to the output jack, completely bypassing the controls for the shortest, purest signal possible.
