The SE Hollowbody Standard Piezo features an all-mahogany body with a hollow design for a warm, resonant sound. Featuring 58/15 LT “S” pickups and an LR Baggs-PRS piezo system, this guitar offers the versatility of access to acoustic and electric sounds in a single instrument. Other equipment includes a wide 22-fret neck, bone nut and PRS “stoptail” bridge with adjustable piezo.
The instrument is designed with two discrete volume controls (magnetic and piezo) and a magnetic and a “combined/piezo” type output. Use this to mix the 58/15 “S” pickups with the acoustic piezo sounds. It's also possible to plug the jacks in simultaneously, so the instrument can run the magnetic pickups into an electric guitar amp and the piezo into an acoustic amp or DI box. When using only the magnetic output, the piezo battery is completely bypassed, acting as a safety (magnetic pickups still work even if the power supply is flat).
