The Brazilian acoustic-electric 12-string D-X2E features a hand-rubbed satin spruce top with an elegant abalone-patterned rosette and patterned high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides. of eye-catching Brazilian rosewood for added durability and looks, without sacrificing that classic Martin tone. Playability improvements include a thinner fingerboard with a slightly beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing, as well as a modernized bridge contour for a smooth, comfortable playing experience. It also features a select hardwood neck, fingerboard and bridge for enhanced tone and sustain, as well as Martin E-1 electronics with a built-in chromatic tuner and volume controls , tone and phase. The D-X2E's iconic 12-string Brazilian Dreadnought body size is loud and projective with powerful bass, lending itself to any genre and experience level, while the additional strings provide a unique layer of chime, tone and texture. All Series X models come with a softshell case.
