The e 614 supercardioid microphone is of the electret type (electrostatic with pre-polarization). It has been designed for demanding applications requiring extended frequency response, fast transient response, small dimensions and involving high sound pressure levels. Thanks to its frequency response extending from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, the e 614 is capable of transcribing the full sound of the instrument. Its supercardioid directivity curve isolates the microphone from other sounds on stage.
Excellent on percussion, the e 614 is also an ideal choice for woodwinds and strings. Its excellent acoustic properties also make it a valuable tool in the home studio.
