In 1990, Megadeth released their fourth album, Rust In Peace, a landmark opus. Considered one of the most iconic and influential metal albums of all time, its frenetic rhythms, complex arrangements, time signature changes, and incandescent guitar solos testified to the band's mastery.
During the recording of the album, Dave frequently used one particular guitar, equipped with a Seymour Duncan JB pickup in the bridge position and a '59 model in the neck position. According to Dave, this JB offered a unique sound, different from that of a standard JB, and had become an essential element of his style.
