The Tube Drive combines a true high-voltage tube preamp with the legendary Keeley Super Phat Mod overdrive circuit, providing two distinct tones that can be used alone or combined.
Beauty and sonic richness are born from simplicity. The tube overdrive section is composed of two triodes operating in series in Class A. The signal from these two amplifiers is then routed to a vintage tweed amp-style tone circuit.
Each tube is carefully selected, burned in, tested, and proudly showcased behind a custom matte black Keeley tube cover. The tube section delivers a warm grain, touch-sensitive saturation, and dynamics that bring a real tube circuit to life under your fingers.
The second part of the pedal is based on the Keeley Super Phat Mod, one of our most beloved overdrive circuits. It adds punch, sustain, and thick, amp-like saturation while preserving the clarity and character of your guitar. Use it alone, push the tube side harder, or combine both for powerful solos and saturated rhythms.
A simple foot tap allows you to invert the order of the effects on the fly: you can place the tube preamp before the Phat Mod or vice versa. The Tube Drive 12AT7WA thus offers a wide range of sounds, ranging from a warm, low-gain texture to thick, harmonically rich saturation with an impressive push.
Designed for pedalboards, the Tube Drive features all connections on the side of the jacks. The pedal is equipped with standard input and output jacks, as well as a dedicated Remote jack for more extensive control. This Remote jack allows for external control of each side of the pedal: the Tip is assigned to the Drive and the Ring to the tube.
Power is supplied via a standard 9V DC (center negative) power supply with a minimum current of 500mA. Inside the pedal, the tube circuit is boosted to high voltage for authentic performance while maintaining an external power supply compatible with pedalboards.
A ventilated jack plate optimizes airflow around the tube section, while the warning label on the back clearly signals the presence of high voltage. Its sleek, professional design makes the Tube Drive easy to cable, control, and compatible with the most demanding configurations.
The standard version of the Tube Drive features a matte black front and back plate, as well as a matching matte black tube cover. It is a stage-ready pedal with the look and feel of a true collector's item.
