The Hoof Reaper features our popular Hoof® and Tone Reaper™ fuzz pedals in a convenient package with the added benefit of an old-school analog octave. It was originally released as a special limited edition item in 2010 and demand was so high that we decided to reintroduce it to our range. Capable of creating everything from subtle octave-up harmonics to crushing octave squalls that simulate exploding amp stacks. Each effect can be used individually or in series, but the order of effects is predefined for optimal performance.

Hoof
Our flagship device! The Hoof is a simple, easy-to-use device capable of producing sounds ranging from warm, gritty overdrive to huge, sustained fuzz. This is a hybrid germanium/silicon Muff style fuzz (based on the old green Russian muff) with massive amounts of volume on tap and smooth amp-like sustain. It has a tighter, cleaner sound than most Muffs, making it sharper and more noticeable in a group setting. The offset control is key to the character of the Hoof, it changes the frequency response of the tone control. Clockwise deepens the mids and counterclockwise enhances the mids. The Hoof has become the go-to fuzz for many well-known fuzz connoisseurs.
Tone Reaper
The Tone Reaper is a vintage style fuzz device based on the "3 button" bender. It is a silicon/germanium hybrid capable of producing a wide range of tones from all eras of bender with careful adjustment of the Tone and Fuzz controls. From thin, spitty sustain to thick, growling sustain; everything is here.
Octave
This is a classic monophonic octave that will add a swelling octave to the fuzz sound! Since it is monophonic, the effect will be more pronounced when you use the neck pickup and play above the 12th fret.
Flexi-Switch® technology
This device features Flexi-Switch® technology! This relay-based true bypass switching style allows you to use momentary and latching style switching simultaneously.
For standard locking operation, press the footswitch once to activate the effect, then press again to bypass it.
For momentary operation, hold the pedal down for as long as you want to use the effect. Once you release the switch, the effect will be bypassed.
Since switching is relay based, it requires power to transmit the signal.
Power
This device uses a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. We always recommend pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall power supplies or multiple power supplies with isolated outputs. The pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or impure power. Switching power supplies, daisy chains, and non-pedal-specific power supplies don't filter dirty power as well and let unwanted noise through. DO NOT OPERATE AT HIGHER VOLTAGES!
