Designed in collaboration with independent pedal builder Analog Man, the MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive is aimed at players who want to add a touch of warmth and grit to their rig while still allowing the natural sound and feel of their gear high-end shine.
Power
The MXR® Duke of ToneTM Overdrive is powered by the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter or an MXR® BrickTM series power supply. This pedal cannot be powered by a battery.
instructions
1. Route one instrument cable from your instrument to the INSTRUMENT jack on the CSP039 and another instrument cable from the AMPLIFIER jack on the CSP039 to the input of your amplifier.
2. Start with the buttons set to 12 o'clock.
3. Activate the effect by pressing the footswitch.
4. Use the OD/BOOST/DIST switch to select your preferred clipping style:
OD mode engages gentle clipping for a touch of grain and compression. Boost mode increases your signal loud and clear without clipping. Distortion mode engages hard clipping for a grittier, more compressed sound and increased output level.
5. Turn the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase the overall volume or counterclockwise to decrease it.
6. Turn the DRIVE knob clockwise to increase the overdrive intensity or counterclockwise to decrease it.
7. Turn the TONE knob clockwise for a brighter sound or counterclockwise for a warmer sound.
