Fierce and frozen tone

Say no to boring guitar sound - The Northern Mauler seamlessly combines the high gain of Revv and the chaos of Swedish chainsaw in collaboration with award-winning metal engineer Glenn Fricker.
The secret sound of your favorite heavy albums - Introduce a little chaos by mixing in a grimy, uncontrollable sound that gives character to your sound and makes it memorable.
The Complete Package - A punchy new voice of Revv high gain amp tone and Revv's homage to the legendary HM-2* in one pedal.
Your Tone Your Way - Optimized for use with clean amps, high gain amps, power amps and direct interface with impulse responses.
Glenn Fricker is an early proponent of Revv and a long-time opponent of the stale, sterile guitar sound. Together we decided to combine the high gain tones of Revv with a sound inspired by the legendary HM-2*.

Swedish Chainsaw is the grimy, chaotic sound of metal's most aggressive genres, but you can also mix it with your traditional high gain sound to add cut, character and make your sound memorable.

One half of the Northern Mauler is a custom high gain Revv amp sound, and the other half is our homage to the HM-2*. The blend knob gives you total control from 100% amp circuit to 100% chainsaw circuit, and everything in between. Use a mix of tones to turn your clean channel into a metal monster, boost your amp to high gain with the Chainsaw circuit, plug it directly into a power amp, or use it with your recording interface and impulse responses .

Proudly Canadian, the Northern Mauler features Glenn's signature custom bear graphic and is designed to make it easy to inject chaos into your metal.

2-in-1 distortion with the Revv version of the legendary HM-2* and an all-new high gain amp circuit.
Revv's new Signature Series pedal teams up with fellow Canadian, early Revv adopter and metal engineer, Glenn Fricker.

"I've been wanting to mix the Swedish chainsaw in modern metallic tones for quite a while now. So I contacted the guys at Revv, and after several months and many revisions, we came up with The Northern Mauler. This combines the best of the wonderful super tight metallic tones of Revv with the uncontrollable nastiness of the chainsaw...and the results are better than I could have hoped for! -Glenn Fricker, Specter Media Group
