A legendary amp on your pedalboard
The Warm Audio Warmdrive is a faithful reproduction of the most sought-after amp-in-a-box pedal of all time, delivering the tones of a truly inaccessible overdrive amp. Modern guitar heroes and virtuosos like SRV, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford, John Mayer, Santana and Cory Wong are known to have used either the original amplifier or the pedal inspired by it. With such a roster of artists, it's no wonder that original vintage pedals are the talk of the world's most discerning and discerning tone hunters. True to the heritage, the Warmdrive delivers all the sounds of the original pedal and the amplifier that inspired it.
True to the heritage, true to the sound
Whether pushing clean tones toward breakup, thickening rhythm tones, or saturating solos, the Warmdrive can transform your amp from a polished, clean pedal platform into a fuzzy monster. Although the Warmdrive offers plenty of dynamic gain, adding this pedal to your system does not dramatically alter or diminish your sound. Just like the original, the Warmdrive features a unique Voice/Tone control that allows you to switch from a silky smooth sound reminiscent of a special overdrive amp at the climax, to sustain-rich distortion. It's like you have the best of both worlds, from clean to deep sound.
Pedal adjustments and controls
The combination of Voice/Tone controls on the pedal gives artists additional versatility over a typical overdrive pedal, allowing the musician to change the frequency before (Voice control) and after (Tone control) the clipping stages. By playing with the knobs, you can create dynamic sounds that sound like two guitar signals are playing at the same time. Warmdrive also goes beyond light overdrive, to a cascading overdriven gain sound that makes it easy to get lost in a solo jam. Pair these controls with the essential volume and gain knobs and the Warmdrive is a venerable addition to any stage or studio rig.
