AV Direct is the ideal input solution for any application where stereo iPods, laptops, consumer DVD players, consumer hi-fi equipment or video machines need to be connected to a single level input XLR microphone. Unlike genre bending cables or standard DI boxes, the AV Direct can accept virtually any level of input and output connection (including powered speaker outputs) and offers ideal level remote control. to adjust the volume of your component at the source rather than in an AV room, audio cabinet or installation rack.
The AV Direct features stereo RCA, 1/8th-inch, and 1/4-inch TRS line-level inputs, as well as 1/4-inch speaker-level and stripped-wire, snap-clip inputs. A switchable 4.8 kHz high cut filter, Ground Lift and variable level control allow the AV Direct to effectively filter out all extraneous and unwanted noise while providing variable volume control at the source. The speaker level inputs are heavily padded and the transformer is isolated from the XLR output, allowing the speaker level to be amplified (up to 100 watts at 8 ohms) and sent to an input microphone level. A frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ensures that AV Direct will work perfectly with any high-quality audio source.
