The Apollo Twin MkII is a complete overhaul of one of the most popular desktop recording interfaces for Mac and Windows, delivering better audio conversion with the character, feel, and fluidity of analog recording.
Building on UA's 60 years of audio experience and know-how, the Apollo Twin MkII starts with two Unison™ technology mic preamps and exemplary, next-generation A/D and D/A conversion, derived from UA's flagship models, the Apollo 8, 8p and 16. With its set of included UAD analog emulation plug-ins - through which you can record in real time with UAD-2 SOLO, DUO or QUAD processing Core - the Apollo Twin MkII is made for producing records.
Record with world-renowned Apollo A/D and D/A conversion heard on hundreds of hit records
Chain up to 4 Apollo interfaces and 6 UAD-2 units via Thunderbolt*, to increase the number of inputs/outputs in your studio, and thus increase your mixing processing power tenfold
Mix through UAD plug-ins such as Teletronix® LA-2A, 1176 and Fairchild® compressors, Pultec® EQs and 610-B preamp, all included
Capture sounds with near-zero latency through emulations of Neve®, API®, Manley® and other preamps using Unison™ technology?
The Apollo Twin MkII features two mic preamps incorporating Unison technology for recording through rigorous emulations of Neve, API, Manley and Universal Audio preamps. Exclusive to Apollo, Unison technology reproduces the sound of the most sought-after tube and solid-state mic preamps, as well as their input impedance, the sweet spots or “sweet spots” of the gain stage, and the behavior of the circuitry of the gain stage. original hardware at component level.
The secret to Unison is its hardware-software integration between the Apollo's mic preamps and its integrated UAD-2 QUAD or DUO Core DSP accelerator. Simply place a Unison preamp plug-in on your mic input and get the timeless character of the world's most recorded mic preamps
integrated classic analog
Included with purchase, the Apollo Twin offers a suite of incredible analog emulation plug-ins including the only authentic Teletronix® LA-2A, 1176LN and Fairchild® compressors, legendary Pultec® EQs, and UA tube preamp 610-B integrating Unison. Developed by UA's world-renowned team of algorithm engineers, these Realtime Analog Classics plug-ins are the benchmark against which all other hardware emulation plug-ins are measured.
From the warmth of the Pultec EQ tubes on the guitars to the delicate limiting of vocals by the LA-2A to the “pump effect” induced by the real Fairchild 670 compressor on the drums, your recordings will make a giant step towards rich and sonically complex analog sound.
