The Yamaha CP88 is an 88-key stage piano featuring a natural wood keyboard, graduated hammer, three-sensor keyboard with synthetic ebony and ivory keys, AWM2 sound generator , 128-voice polyphony, 57-voice polyphony and a USB/MIDI audio interface.

The CP73 and CP88 stage pianos offer a wide range of grand piano, upright piano, electric piano and keyboard sounds for all musical genres. Three premium concert grand pianos – the Yamaha CFX, Yamaha S700 and Bosendorfer Imperial 290 – deliver dynamic, nuanced expression through careful recording and harmonization. Two acoustic upright pianos, five electric pianos and a wide range of other keyboard sounds are available to cover any playing situation. P73 and CP88 also offer synthesizer sounds to cover any concert or session. Split, layer or solo warm pads, lush strings, deep synth basses, synth leads, brass and more. Individual CP control interface allows real-time interaction for instant sound creation. Find your own unique sound using built-in effects, dedicated effects for each of the three sections (Piano, Electric Piano and Sub) and master effects with delay, reverb and master EQ.
TOUCH
Pianists will feel comfortable with the CP88's fast, responsive keyboard action. Natural wood keys provide the weight and response pianists expect. By adding different weights or "gradations", the keyboard reproduces the feel of a piano's hammers: heavy in the bass and light in the high end. The tops of the synthetic ebony and ivory keycaps are slightly porous, which adds grip to the keys. Finally, a third sensor allows notes to be repeated like a grand piano, allowing them to be rearticulated without complete release. This makes it easier to play fast, repeated notes and is one of the main reasons why pianists prefer grand pianos to upright pianos.
USER INTERFACE
Thanks to its one-to-one interface, CP offers you direct, immediate and total control of your sound on stage or in the studio. There's no programming, no menu diving, or web searching with CP. The intuitive CP interface allows for quick and easy splits, layers and sound shaping directly from the front panel.
