It's difficult to add overdrive to an acoustic guitar - not only can it sound unmusical, but it can also cause feedback that destroys the sound. Designed specifically for acoustic instruments, the fully analog Smolder Acoustic Overdrive elegantly solves these problems with Fender expertise. To soften the bright attack of a piezo pickup, we included a pickup trim control that smooths out the highs. The Drive knob controls the distortion level, while the 3-band EQ and Filter controls let you shape your sound to your tastes. We've even included a cabinet simulation to add flavor when plugged into an acoustic amp or full-range PA.
Designed by Fender's team of experts, the Smolder Acoustic Overdrive is a completely original Fender circuit. The chassis is made from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum, and the Amp Jewel LED gives your pedalboard the classic Fender look. Switchable LED-backlit buttons allow you to view your control settings on a dark stage at a glance.
