Directly inspired by the boost circuit of the Shawn Tubbs Tilt Overdrive, the Tilt Boost offers up to 20 dB of organic gain with an intuitive Tilt EQ that simultaneously boosts treble and cuts bass (or vice versa). This allows you to instantly refine your tone and feel. Combined with the strategic frequency options of the 3-position Tight Switch, a single knob allows you to add precision, depth, or precisely control the low end while boosting the level, for an authentic, clear boost without saturation. A new Drive switch gives you powerful saturation, reminiscent of Shawn's favorite setting on the standard Tilt Overdrive.
Input tone shaping
Placing the Tilt Boost right after your guitar is the best way to sculpt your tone at the source. The added clarity and precision will carry through your entire rig, without having to adjust a single pedal. Of course, that is just for always-on use. You can use the Tilt Boost as a solo boost, an independent overdrive pedal, or in any other situation.
A unique tone
One of the Tilt Boost's major assets is its all-new Drive switch. It is reminiscent of Shawn's favorite setting on the Drive section of the Tilt Overdrive: a fat and powerful tone, typical of a 4x12 cabinet, with rich mids. The Tilt Boost therefore also works perfectly as an independent overdrive pedal, or you can saturate your boost to get a fatter tone in any situation.
Technical specifications
The Tilt EQ is virtually neutral at 2 o'clock. Turning left boosts the treble and cuts the bass, and turning right does the opposite. The 3-position Tight switch allows you to choose the level of bass compression independently of the Tilt EQ setting.
