With its characteristic crunch and biting mids, the Big Muff 2 revisits the now-discontinued op-amp BMP circuit from the 1970s. We have integrated two of our favorite features into the Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker to enrich its sonic palette. More present highs and a full-bandwidth fuzz offer even more unique tones.
Designed around the original Big Muff Pi 2 circuit, this pedal retains the singing sustain and massive gain, while possessing a distinct sonic signature that sets it apart from the classic Big Muff Pi. The VOL/TONE/SUSTAIN controls allow you to fine-tune the sound just like on the original model, while the TONE and WICKER switches open up new perspectives. The TONE switch completely disengages the tone knob, creating full-spectrum distortion. The 3-position WICKER switch opens up the high-pass filters, adding two additional levels of bright, clear highs. This is particularly useful with lower tone settings. The Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker is equipped with a momentary footswitch (latching/momentary). Press briefly for continuous operation, or hold the footswitch down for a short burst of fuzz!
