With the immense potential of the RC-600 at your feet, you can create complex and elaborate loops like never before. Use its six tracks in series or parallel to build different musical structures, and create successive layers without loss of sound quality thanks to the next-generation audio engine. The wide range of built-in effects allows you to process your sounds before or after recording, with time-based effects that automatically sync to your loops and internal rhythms. You will benefit from an unprecedented level of control thanks to the nine footswitches, and the ability to instantly recall different assignments using the three pedal modes. And if that's not enough, you can take things further with the RC-600's many external control options.
The RC-600 is highly customizable, allowing you to configure your looper to match your workflow. The footswitches and pedal modes let you manage a multitude of parameters for track management, effects and rhythms, Tap Tempo, and more. In some cases, you can use the same footswitch to trigger different functions depending on how you press it: single, double, or long press. Two jack connectors are also available to plug in external footswitches or expression pedals, each with its own parameters. Finally, an Assign function allows you to use up to 16 different controls to manage an instrument or MIDI. And thanks to the seven screen variations, you can see the real-time status of many functions in use.
With a choice of 49 Input FX and 53 Track FX, your loops on the RC-600 will be evocative and moving on every occasion. You have a complete universe of sonic colors at your feet, thanks to versatile effects from the vast BOSS library, a guitar-to-bass simulator, and a wide range of powerful vocal effects. The Track FX also offer DJ-style effects like Beat Scatter or Vinyl Flick. Up to four Input FX and Track FX can be used simultaneously, with the ability to save these groups of four in each section to be quickly recalled, complete with knob or switch settings for each type.
Equipped with versatile connectors, the RC-600 is ready for any style of concert. You have two XLR mic inputs, plus two stereo/mono line input pairs for guitars, keyboards, drum machines
and other audio devices, with an input mixer offering two mic compressors and EQ per channel. Three stereo output pairs, a headphone jack, and an output mixer are also integrated, with comprehensive routing options, and global Reverb and compression. It is even possible to use the audio inputs and outputs to patch in external effects to process at least one loop. And via USB, you can connect to music production software and use BOSS Tone Studio to import or export WAV-format loops.
The RC-600 includes numerous organic rhythms with real-time modification options. You have over 200 patterns in various styles—rock, pop, Latin, jazz, electro, etc.—each with four variations to make your loops even more lively. Intros and endings are also available, as well as automatic transitions to move from one section to another. Can't find what you're looking for? Simply import your own rhythms in SMF format via USB using the dedicated RC Rhythm Converter software. And thanks to the 16 different kits, you can play along to light percussion or brushes, as well as hard rock or electro rhythms.
