More than 140 unique models have been produced, over 19 million units sold, and many have been in continuous production for decades. Authentic recreations
Thanks to new BOSS algorithms, every effect in the PX-1 reproduces the authentic sound and response of the pedal it is based on. Every detail is modeled with stunning precision using a powerful DSP engine dedicated to recreating the sound of a single effect at a time. Quickly dial in your sounds using the familiar interface of BOSS compact pedals, with a built-in screen for current parameters and internal settings.
The PX-1 allows for external control with one or two footswitches or an expression pedal. Use the Swap function to switch between effects. You can also assign almost any parameter for expressive real-time control during your performance. Stereo I/O provides flexible connectivity and optimized sound for models that support stereo operation, while tap tempo and MIDI sync let you get the most out of time-based effects.
Core effects
The permanent library of the PX-1 includes eight famous BOSS pedals, including the three models from the initial 1977 lineup and iconic drive pedals like the DS-1 and SD-1. Each model is identified by the "1" reference, indicating it was the first of its kind in the BOSS timeline.
