The Oceans Abyss builds upon acclaimed Electro-Harmonix reverb technology to offer a true immersive effects workstation. The pedal is centered around two independently programmable reverb engines, featuring new, full-stereo algorithms including Hall, Spring, Shimmer, and many more. Integrate these reverbs into a customizable signal path, with additional effect blocks such as Delay, Chorus, Tremolo, or Bit Crusher, for a unique sound design experience.
Since the release of the original Holy Grail, Electro-Harmonix has paved the way for powerful and accessible reverbs, and today pushes the boundaries with the Oceans Abyss, an ultra-equipped pedal. Featuring a customizable signal path with up to 8 effect blocks, the Oceans Abyss can be configured individually as reverb, modulation, EQ, delay, bit crusher, saturation, or volume effect, or in countless combinations for limitless sonic creativity. From a simple spring reverb to a lush stereo field integrating hall and shimmer reverbs, chorus, delay, overdrive, and tremolo, move instantly from surf to shoegaze, effortlessly.
In-depth parameter editing is accessible via the high-visibility OLED screen, offering multiple graphical views and a clear interface. Expression/CV control over almost every parameter allows for artistic mastery of effects and dynamics. Full stereo I/O and an effects loop allow for use with any instrument, recording setup, or live rig. 128 programmable presets via the built-in footswitches or MIDI ensure perfect recall in any situation. MIDI IN/OUT ports, compatible with MIDI PC, CC, and Tempo Clock, expand the already immense possibilities of the Oceans Abyss.
