The Morley ABY was launched in the early 1980s, but when young engineer Scott Flesher joined Morley a decade later, no one imagined that his redesign would become one of the most popular utility pedals of all time. The latest Gold Series version benefits from an improved, quieter circuit, as well as an all-new design. It is simple, robust, and versatile.
The ABY offers numerous possibilities for use. You can route one input to two outputs, or vice versa, by routing two inputs to a single output. This makes switching between guitars or instruments much easier, as well as using multiple amplifiers. Completely passive, it requires no external power. Only the LEDs consume power, which is ideal for preserving battery life.
Here is an example of using the ABY to change instruments on stage. This significantly speeds up transitions between songs or during your set.
In our second example, you can use the ABY to change amplifiers or split your signal for recording. Please note that to split your signal, we recommend using the ABY MIX or ABY Pro, as they are better suited for this function:
