The Pink Taco V2 is Dave’s latest version of this legendary, hand-wired, 20-watt EL84 amp. Capable of producing many musical styles, from blues to classic rock, and heavy rock to metal, you simply need to adjust the gain, master, and the new switches.
The Pink Taco V2 is the little sibling of the critically acclaimed BE-100 and was created for the many musicians who requested the Friedman sound in a compact, lightweight, and simplified format.
Hand-built in the USA, the Pink Taco V2 head/amp combo uses tongue-and-groove Baltic birch construction. It features a 16-ohm, 12-inch Celestion Creamback G12M-65 speaker, delivering the bass, midrange response, and signature sound expected from a Friedman amplifier.
Many believe that an EL-84 amp cannot produce the tight lows and mids of an EL-34 amp. The Pink Taco V2 proves them wrong! Dave designed this amp to sound like a 100-watt EL-34 monster, thanks to custom transformers and the cleanest signal path possible.
Plug into the Pink Taco V2 and you will immediately notice the powerful bass and the harmonic richness of chords and individual notes. This amp cleans up remarkably well with the guitar volume control, even with high gain.
