Danmar Percussion Products was founded by Frank DeVito in 1970. After years of playing behind some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher, The Monkees, Herb Alpert, The Benny Goodman Orchestra, and as a recording artist with the Baja Marimba Band to name a few, Frank found that many commercially made drum parts were not enough. So, he began developing his own. Finding that his own designs worked so well that he created his own company, Danmar, to make them available to drummers around the world.
