The Radial StageBug SB-2 is a high-performance passive adapter box designed for globe-trotting musicians! Made to fit inside a guitar case, the SB-2 is ultra compact and very complete, which allows it to ensure excellent performance in all situations.
The SB-2 has a jack input and a thru output to send back to the amp on stage. Impedance conversion is carried out by a custom Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer which is responsible for balancing the signal. For instruments with high output levels, a -15 dB pad can be engaged. This allows the SB-2 to be used with active basses and digital pianos, which often tend to overload the input of the devices they are driving. The Merge function allows stereo to mono merging, it's a convenient way to connect stereo or computer keyboards without having to reset the source to operate in mono.
Once connected, the SB-2 delivers a warm, smooth sound more reminiscent of vintage gear. The Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer generates a light, natural compression that is pleasant to the ear. The transformer also helps eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops by isolating the input from the output. A Ground-Lift which raises pin 1 of the XLR connector completes the whole thing for a quiet and professional result.
