With a classic look and modern feel, the Schecter 2847-SHC Model-T Session-5 covers all tonal spectrums with a healthy dose of vintage vibes.
The Model-T Session-5 was refined from the ground up starting with wood selection through to electronics and choosing precisely the right pickup to complement the tones of the wood.
Starting with the active EMG pickups, the bridge and neck are the EMG J and P. Developed for the bassist who needs versatility and range in their sound. The P adds warmth and incredible bass punch, while the LJ gives a tight midrange punch and dynamic treble response for a well-defined attack. The result is the ability to produce everything from tight slap funk to smooth Motown grooves, all with a sound that will set you apart.
Schecter took these wiring features and then added the EMG 2-band active EQ with 18v system for even more sound shaping versatility. This allows the player to add or subtract EQ to the center frequencies voiced specifically for the electric bass. The bass is deep, clear and tight. You have the choice between two “dip switch” treble frequency centers. The lowest setting is perfect for adding growl and bite to traditional P and J tones. The highest setting delivers crystal-clear highs to modern-sounding full-frequency bass tones with punishing clarity without any fragility.
After developing the electronics, they worked on building the bass.
The bolt-on neck joint has been reshaped and contoured for smoother access to the highest frets. The neck is bolted with 6 bolts for a stronger connection between the neck and body. Carbon fiber reinforcement rods are used in the neck to reinforce neck relief and prevent neck displacement. The fingerboard features a 12-inch radius adding a modern roundness to the feel. Precision and durability with classic styling make the Grover 142 Series "Vintage" Bass Machines the ideal bass machine heads for vintage looks and modern functions. The die-cast housing is a solid foundation to hold the centerlines of the worm and gear. A fixed bearing surface in the housing creates a smooth tuning surface for easy adjustment and a 22:1 gear ratio. The safety post and "elephant ear" button provide functionality and a vintage look.Specifications:
