Designed for small studios, close-range listening, and immersive multi-speaker setups, the A4V delivers precise, full-bodied sound in a compact form factor. This two-way speaker incorporates a 4-inch long-throw woofer made from the same multi-layer mineral fiber (MLM) as the other A-Series speakers, as well as the X tweeter -Classic ART. Built-in DSP-based tuning capabilities allow you to easily dial in the perfect sound for your space. With a frequency range of 53 Hz to 42 kHz, the A4V can accommodate a wide range of uses – from producing podcasts to mixing string quartets – and will fit seamlessly into immersive and 3D setups . Technical characteristics • Tweeter: HPS waveguide and rotating X-ART tweeter • Woofer: 1x 4" MLM woofer with 25mm (1") voice coil • Frequency response at -6 dB: 53 Hz – 42 kHz • Maximum sound pressure level per loudspeaker at 1 m: 100 dB • AD converter: 24 bits • Internal sampling frequency: 96 kHz • RMS amplifier power: 110 W (woofer), 20 W (treble speaker) • Transfer frequency: 3.0 kHz • Power: 300 W maximum • Analog input (balanced): 1 XLR • Analog input (unbalanced): 1 RCA • Weight: 5.8 kg (12 lb 13 oz) • Amp dimensions (height x width x depth): 268 x 158 x 220 mm (10 1/2 x 6 1/4 x 8 5/8 in) • AC input voltage: 100 – 240 V, 50/60 Hz Contents of the box: – 1 speaker – 1 power cable – 1 quick start guide Description • Rotating HPS waveguide and X-ART tweeter • Multi-layer mineral woofer • Hybrid amplification • Electronics based on DSP • Room adaptation • Two voice selections • Control software for real-time remote control • Room correction and Sonarworks integration A solution for every space With five models of different dimensions and specifications to choose from, finding the right speaker is simply a matter of taste and understanding the acoustic requirements of your space. For added flexibility when it comes to speaker positioning, the rotating HPS waveguide means each speaker can be used in a horizontal or vertical position with minimal compromise to sound quality. Room-fitting options directly on the Reference speaker backplate help solve common speaker placement issues such as bass overrepresentation caused by nearby walls and surfaces. The A44H is a unique model in the range and an ideal solution for multi-channel setups above or below display screens. Superior audio quality Every aspect of the A Series design, materials and components contributes to exceptional sound quality and improved output when comparing similar models from the previous AX Series. The combination of Class D amplifiers used in the A Series woofers and Class AB amplifiers found in the tweeters provides impressive full-range sound pressure level and frequency response ultra-low. The use of digital signal processing enables the most advanced features of the A Series. All A Series speakers feature an X-ART tweeter encased in a custom HPS waveguide. The high quality tweeter materials, hand-bent in Berlin, combined with the precise control of waveguide propagation, results in superior high-frequency dispersion over short listening distances and long. A Series woofers are constructed from multiple layers of mineral stone fibers baked together to create a lightweight, yet very stable material that helps eliminate partial vibration and other sonic impurities. By combining this material with a new magnetic system, the A Series woofers produce high output with low distortion, delivering clean sound for low-end materials. The sleek design of the A Series speakers also contributes to superior audio quality. Specifically, the speakers have a deeper bevel to reduce diffraction and thicker baffle walls that reduce vibration inside the speaker. Additionally, a flared port design reduces port noise compared to AX Series speakers by optimizing airflow. Faithful mixing The A Series has 2 selectable voicing options found directly on the rear panel of the reference speakers. “Pure” is a very precise and neutral sound reinforcement option. This is a very flat setting, providing an honest representation of your speakers and making them ideal for mixing, mastering and critical listening. A sound with character The A Series also delivers the sound with the character and presence you expect from ADAM Audio. Uniform Natural Response (“UNR”) is a dynamic, natural sound that can be selected on the rear panel of reference speakers. Its design derives from a variety of iconic ADAM Audio legacy products, including the previous AX series. It lends itself to production, composition, and songwriting, as its engaging sound can give you more room for creativity and flow. It's also a great option any time you want to use your speakers simply to listen to music. Can't treat your space? Make up for it. For many people, acoustic treatment is not an option because of the cost and complexity involved or because they use their speakers in a living room or bedroom. The A Series offers several solutions to address poor room acoustics, from room adaptation equalization to deal with unavoidable nearby objects, to automated room correction available through a collaboration with Sonarworks . Together, these technologies can greatly improve the listening experience without requiring costly modifications to your space. Save space with mounting options A Series speakers were designed with mounting in mind. All models feature four M8 threaded screw holes (10mm depth) in a rectangular pattern measuring 127mm x 70mm. Stay in the zone with remote operation Most of the on-board technologies present in the A Series can be controlled remotely and in real time using the A Control software application. This means you can concentrate on your project and monitor settings from your listening position without needing to reach behind the speakers to adjust them. Future-proof feature set Software and firmware have played a significant role in the development of the A Series and will continue to do so long after the speakers are launched. Through the Ethernet connection, you can expect to integrate the latest DSP-based features from ADAM Audio, including new filter types and features, as well as alternate voices, meaning your reference speakers from The A Series will continue to provide the best possible sound for many years to come. Beyond stereo applications The A Series offers a variety of input options, editing possibilities and sound adjustment, making it suitable for multi-channel and surround use. Unleash processing power Over the past 3 years, ADAM Audio and Sonarworks have worked together to deliver an innovative integration that works directly on the A-Series reference loudspeakers. This eliminates the need for an additional DAW plugin, simplifying workflows and ensuring your studio speakers are always tuned optimally, regardless of the source or type of sound.
