Based on our evolved Tube Logic amp architecture and responsive Class AB power, the BOSS Katana series has become a benchmark for guitarists around the world since its launch in 2016. Katana amplifiers are the result of decades of BOSS expertise and provide professional "tube amp" sound with modern advantages such as built-in effects, instant memory recall, and ultra-detailed adjustments, all at a reduced weight. The Katana Gen 3 brings more versatility to the series by offering a playing experience that no other amp can match.
Enhanced Tube Logic sounds
Tube Logic recreates tube circuits and all their complex component interactions to deliver the sought-after sounds and feel of classic tube amp designs. Our approach continues to evolve by improving the five amp characters available in previous Katana models, including the famous high-gain Brown type. The new "Pushed" character highlights internal dynamic improvements by providing the touch-sensitive gain of a clean combo pushed into harmonic saturation. These six amp characters each feature a variation, bringing the number of available sounds to twelve, suitable for all styles.
Ideal sound at any volume level
As every tube amp lover knows, the sound becomes richer, fuller, and the response more intense when you turn up the volume. Unfortunately, in many situations, this leads to playing at volumes that are too loud. An external power attenuator is often used, but it can alter the sound and feel of the amp. The Power Control function integrated into the Katana Gen 3 offers the best of both worlds: you can crank the amp while maintaining control over the volume. Simply turn the knob on the front panel to adjust the level seamlessly, whether you are on stage or in your bedroom.
Famous BOSS effects
The Katana Gen 3 offers five simultaneously usable categories filled with essential effects from the vast BOSS sound library. The Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections enhance sound quality with physical parameter controls, with three variations for each, bringing the number of available effects to 15. BOSS Tone Studio provides access to additional adjustments for the 60 built-in effect types and other parameters not accessible from the amp's front panel. And when the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter is installed, you can make these adjustments wirelessly from the BTS editor app installed on your smartphone.

A complete control center for gigs
The Katana-100 Gen 3 integrates powerful tools suited for modern musicians. Eight Tone Setting memories are dedicated to saving and recalling complete setups of amps and associated effects, and the rear panel allows for connecting footswitches and an expression pedal. The GA-FC and GA-FC EX foot controllers expand the control options of your Katana Gen 3 on stage: Tone Setting changes, effect On/Off, use of multiple expression pedals, etc. The GA-FC EX is capable of doubling the number of available footswitches or controlling two Katana amps simultaneously.
Expand your creative palette
The Katana-100 Gen 3 is able to follow you on all your creative journeys. You can easily link two amps together thanks to the Stereo Expand* function. The Master control then resides on the primary amp while stereo effects such as chorus, delay, and reverb are distributed across both amps to emit a wide and immersive sound. Connecting to the Power Amp In jack bypasses the Katana's preamp to dedicate the Class AB power section to amplifying a modeler or external preamp.
Versatile connectivity
