The Bassbone OD is a bass preamp with 2 instrument inputs, each of which has its own level control, a super powerful interactive passive EQ and a low frequency filter to help eliminate resonances.
Channel A is equipped with a PZB footswitch that increases sensitivity and loading to 10 Mohms to optimize response for piezoelectric sensors commonly used on double bass.
Channel B, for its part, acts on the load correction (impedance) which aims to optimize the response of a passive instrument such as a vintage electric bass.
Switching between channels is done using the footswitch and the 2 channels can be mixed by pressing the blend switch, if a humbucker pickup system is employed.
The Bassbone OD also features an instrument jack output (6.35 mm) for driving an amp on stage and a low-impedance balanced DI output for a PA system.
The XLR output can be assigned pre or post effects depending on the engineer's preferences. A dedicated "buffered" tuner output works with the MUTE footswitch for quiet tuning on stage.
For bassists who use effects, the 2 input channels can share the same pedals by connecting via the effects loop. All enhanced by an onboard overdrive section with DRIVE, LEVEL and TONE controls. A "wet/dry" mix allows you to add a slight grain similar to an Ampeg SVT or a big distortion if desired.
The OD pedal can be assigned to loop, overdrive or both. Finally, a built-in headphone amp with jack output (3.5 mm) allows you to use the Bassbone on the bus for long journeys between concerts.
