True to its name, this set of strings was designed to meet the needs of Gypsy jazz guitarists in the pre-amplification era. Created by John D’Addario Sr. for the renowned luthier Mario Maccaferri, the “Gypsy Jazz” strings deliver the authentic tone and feel of acoustic jazz. Featuring a high-carbon steel core and silver-plated copper winding, they produce the warm, punchy, and richly projecting sound characteristic of Django Reinhardt’s recordings and other acoustic jazz ensembles. This “Light” set (10–44 gauge) is designed for acoustic guitars requiring loop-end strings.
